Sorry...

Sorry. The most hardest and easiest word to say. I'd believed that biggest fights can be ended by saying this five letter word. Peace can be restored between two hearts when one of them says "I am sorry". A broken heart can be mended, damages in a relationship can be repaired, a long silence can be ended, all this by just saying Sorry.

Misunderstandings, fights, blame game all are a part of relationship. I thought that when such things happen in a relationship, a simple sorry has the capacity to make things right. Atleast with me that's how it is. I can forgive someone's biggest mistakes when I hear the word "Sorry" from them. But, I guess that's not how it is with everyone. Sorry, can't really undo, all damages...

  1. Ah sometimes after we have hurt someone so much and have said sorry every single time and promised not to repeat, then tht sorry looses the effect.
Also sometimes the hurt is too deep to hear it.
    Thts the case with me.

  2. The case with me is: I Will go with your first line of post, the effect of sorry will there if it is occasionally..
Biggest fights might end with sorry as it have reason to showcase but small things might not end as it directly hits heart.... only time is the best medicine to heal it :)

  3. A genuine sorry does work wonders...but..at the same time a genuine forgiveness is also important...

Btw..I read this somewhere..'I never apologize. I am sorry..its just the way I am!'

  4. Even I can forgive if someones says sorry BY HEART to me. But it really doesn't matters to some people. You need to be soft hearted like ME!!!! lol. I'm laughing at myself. haha.

  7. Sometimes, sorry is just a word and taken for granted. If mistakes are being made numerously, sorry is so easy to say. But does it truly mend every problem? I doubt it :D

  8. Everytime you hurt someone, a part of the belief that the other person has in you becomes a little superficial.. This is one of the several damages which a sorry can't undo..

  11. @Kunal: I believe too that forgiveness is really important in any relationship. Sorry has got no meaning unless the concerned person forgives...

  15. i personally have lost faith in that word..the number of times a person ha intentionally cheated or hurt me..and then use the word "sorry" expecting to wipe the slate clean and start hurting all over again...

i know there are those who mean it sincerely, but because of ppl like this, the effect goes...

  16. Sorry has become a very common word to use after people do mistakes. But a genuine sorry means that the he/she is repenting for the mistake they did and they'll make sure it does not happen again. But unfortunately people have forgotten the meaning of this word. I'm sorry to say this :)

  23. I liked the idea. You remind me of a quotation I wrote someday,
The only reason relationships fail is that we give up hope early, ego later.

It is my first visit to your blog, I really love the humanoid clock :)
    Keep writing, writing well... :)

  24. Well, this is one word I have used sparsely in my life. Not because I'm perfect. Because people around did take me as I am and did not give me a chance to use it.
May be its because of that, I can not stand an imitative sorry from anybody.
    Nice post.
